I kinda of think that I took the malls back home for granted although, you end up saying that about every place back home once you've been living in the NL's. I was at this mall just before Xmas and it was waaaayy busier than this photo. In terms of measuring busy-ness, I think it’s a bit misleading :-)

Having been in Canada for 6 months after being in Amsterdam for 6 years, I would say that the Eaton Center is just as busy as the Kalverstraat over Christmas and on most weekends. During the week things thin out a lot more here in TO.

See, I’m used to the West Edmonton Mall, so that doesn’t look too busy to me either! I know what you are saying though, a few years ago Shawn and I were in Lisbon, and there were so many people everywhere!

When I first looked at the photo I was thinking to myself that it looked rather empty and you are right our ideas of busy have changed! I miss our home on 20 acres out in the middle of no where.
