Crazy Christmas Lady

Breigh December 12, 2009 8

It’s finally Christmas in the Soldaat household!  It took me a little longer than normal but I finally got our tree up and decorations throughout the house.  I haven’t taken photos of it all yet but Here’s a little something to start out.

The tree is up!Christmas Tree 2009

I love that we have gifts to put under the tree already.  My mother left some here when she visited in October and yesterday we got a big box from my in-laws.  So pretty!  My tree skirt is holding up really well.  This is our 3rd Christmas that we’ve been using it and so far nothing seems to be falling apart.  Not bad for my very first quilt!

I’ll be taking more photos of the Christmas deco over the next while, it was starting to get light as I took the photos so I’ll have to wait until night time to take some more, that’s when they always look the best.

Only 12 sleeps! Can’t wait can’t wait!

You might be able to get some good deals between x-mas and new years. Also, Gamma has their stuff on 50% off at the moment (here at least) and they have the CUTEST shovel thing. It’s got a green handle and stem and the shovel part is painted with a winter scene with snowmen. There are little wooden signs and hanging snowflakes along the handle that say “Warm Winter Welcome” It’s only like 9,99 and then 50% off. Worth going to get, it’s adorable :)

Nigel, I always miss my family too… but decorating and getting stuff planned for x-mas always helps make it better. If I hadn’t made my own x-mas here I’d be miserable every year at this time.
