Today Xander and I went to the mall to buy some odds and ends and to pick out our GLASSES!! Certainly not a first for him, but it was for me! I must have tried on every pair of women’s glasses in the place but I kept going back to the same pair…
I have always said that if I were ever to get glasses I’d totally get thick black funky ones… and that I did!! I don’t have them yet, of course, they won’t be ready until Aug 19th, but I got a picture of me with the frames they had for show.
I’m happy with them! Though wearing glasses at all will take getting used to!
I also got another pair, because they are free, like.. you get a 2nd pair free. So I got these.. they are ok but I like the other ones better.
My eyesight isn’t THAT bad, they said it’s a very slight problem. I don’t have to wear the glasses all the time and will be fine without them, but I do see a definate improvement when I have them on (as I saw through the wacky goggles that they put on to test the prescription). Will I get used to having them on my face? Who knows… hopefully the novelty of the new accessory will last a while!
As you can see, the vertical labret is healing up nicely as well! It took about 1.5 – 2 weeks before it started feeling normal. Meaning, without any swelling, discomfort or crusting around the openings. I really love it too, especially because no parts of it are INSIDE my mouth. The fact that it’s a surface piercing makes me a bit nervous though, I really don’t want this one to migrate out on me. Thankfully I know what to watch for this time!

HEy awesome gl;asses the remind me alot fo mine except mine are reddish. I had to only wear mine while reading and driving and i got so used to them and didnt take them off i had to wear them all the time, my eyesight weakend alittle bit. Hopefully that won’t happen to you but you’ll def get used to them and they won’t feel as odd when u go to put them on when you need to. Great pics of the glasses they suit ya

I didn’t realize that the labret doesn’t actually go inside the mouth. That’s interesting to know, I was considering doing that, but wasn’t sure if I wanted to have another piercing in my mouth. (my tongue was pierced, but I got tired of that.) interesting to know.

Yoshi – With a vertical labret nothing goes inside your mouth. The piercing is vertical and enters below the lip and comes out on top of the lip. On a REGULAR labret, it does go inside your mouth. This is what I used to have and removed. The inner part of the piercing was rubbing against my gum and wearing it away. So basically if you want just the 1 ball showing below your lip then you will have the other end inside your lip. If you want the 2 balls on the lip like I have, nothing is inside your mouth.
