This FOAD Thursday is being dedicated to my cold and whoever gave it to me.
I have moved past the sore throat stage into the itchy throat stage, which is worse. My chest is congested and every time I cough from one or the other it hurts in my throat and my ribs. Below my nose is red and sore because we don’t have tissues in the house and I just carry a roll of toilet paper around with me, which really isn’t soft enough. I try to moisturize but it stings.
I think my husband brought these germs home from work. Clearly that is the only explaination, but I’d feel bad dedicating a FOAD to him, cuz I love him. SO, I’ll dedicate it to whoever (or is it whomever? ffs I’m never going to get that straight) the shithead was that went to work sick so that his/her germs could hitch a ride home to me on my husband.
I know I’m whiney but when I’m sick all I can think about is how much it sucks to be sick. Maybe I should be the one to FOAD, even I can’t stand my own whining.
Yes, I think I’m going to FOAD Thursday myself this week. I’ve just decided.
P.s. I’m sending out a mini-foad to the Dutch for not having Halls.
Would you like some Halls? I’ll be home next summer.

Being sick sucks, but it sucks less if you can suck a Halls. You should get someone to send you some — I could run out to Shoppers Drug Mart — but oh hmm, how can I get them through the internet cable? Yes, that was a lame attempt at humour. Feel better.
Well you know, with my son’s metal band, we get this mystery cold going around through the members. My Son had it a week and a half ago, then the lead guitarist got it in time for their weekend concert. He came over feeling like Ka Ka, and said, “I think Cam gave it to me.”
My answer, as it always is was, “I told you not to lick him! That’s what happens when you lick people!”
So…. who did you lick?
