A Cat Only a Mama Could Love

He drives me crazy.

Over the years, he’s come so close to death so many times I can’t even explain it.

He’s obnoxious.  He’s bossy.  He whines and he gets his hair everywhere.

He makes me itchy.

He hisses and scratches most people who aren’t me.

He refuses to be anywhere but in this house with us.

He chews plastic bags and plants and then pukes them back up around the house.

He’s insane.

Still, when I see him curled up sleeping somewhere, or he climbs up on the back of my chair for a cuddle, I can’t help but love him.

I often fantasize what life will be like without a cat in the house, and then I feel guilty because I don’t ever want to lose him.  No matter how much he makes me want to throw him off the balcony sometimes, I’ll be devastated if anything ever happens to him.  He sure has made life interesting over the last 15 years.

Awww! I feel the same about our fuzzbutts sometimes, especially around Christmas, because they love eating Christmas trees…

We have a fake tree so thankfully Spencer leaves it alone. I figure he’s too old now anyway, even if we did have a real tree he probably wouldn’t bother with it. When he was younger he would though, I’ve had a tree fall over with him in it more than once!

He is so cute. I’m not surprised you forgive him. I’m a sucker for cats.

You can try your luck with him if you come over. He’s usually pretty good with people if there aren’t too many of them and they let him come to them on his terms hehe

I totally feel the same way about our two fat lazy beasts!
