Ok so get this. I was just talking to my friend Matt and was telling him that I was watching the latest episode of The Biggest Loser. Then he told me to pause it because he had something interesting to tell me.
You see, Matt and I first met on one of the turtle forums I visit quite a lot. We got to know each other over our love of turtles and became friends from there. Like most online communities we also have a few friends from the forums in common.
He told me that one of the girls I know on the forums knows one of the guys on The Biggest Loser and was actually ON that particular episode I was watching (the one where the contestants went home for a week). So I quickly went back in the show to look at the moment he was talking about and sure enough, THERE SHE WAS!
The funny thing is, I had already watched that part of the show and the girl had actually caught my eye. I don’t remember what I thought exactly at that moment but when Matt told me what part of the show she was in I knew exactly where to go back to because I remembered seeing her… only I didn’t know it was her at the time. Bizarre, huh?
That really goes to show you just how small our world really is. Here I am, a Canadian girl sitting in the Netherlands chatting online with my friend in Portland who tells me that a mutual online friend of ours is IN the TV show that I am watching right at that very moment!!
Crazy shit…
