My Gastric Bypass: Post Haircut Hair Loss

WOW, what a difference a haircut makes!  Check this out. This was my hair loss before I cut my hair:

WLS Hair Loss

That wasn’t even the worst of it, this was when it just began. There were days that I easily lost twice as much, like what I lost on this day:

So after getting sick of it I decided to cut my hair shorter and now I am having a major WTF moment, because look at what I find on my hands in the shower now, since the haircut:

WHAT IN THE HELL?  It’s hardly even there!

So my only conclusions are that with the hair shorter it’s not winding around my fingers and instead washing down the drain without me noticing it.

OR… somehow cutting my hair has triggered the hair loss to slow down?

OR… it’s a coincidence and I happened to get a haircut around the same time the hair loss was going to slow down?

I don’t care, whatever it is, I’ll take it!

Even if the same amount of hairs are still falling out, it’s very much an out of sight out of mind thing for me right now.  Not seeing a ton of hair wrapped around my fingers every day is enough to make me feel better and not think about it as much.

  1. The feeling better has to be a great thing. Don’t ask too many questions… ;)
