Uploaded this photo to Instagram a few minutes ago and thought I’d share it on my blog as well.
Anyone who has had weight loss surgery or been in the process of losing weight can tell you that there are times where you lose perspective. Where things seem to be going too slow, where you feel like the same old you again or just aren’t feelin’ it as much as you usually do. Today was one of those days for me…
When I feel that way I go back in time, whether it’s looking at photos, trying on old clothes of mine or mentally going over the things I can do now that I couldn’t before.
Today I dug out a pair of my old jeans and had some fun with them. They are the jeans that just fit me when I went into surgery 6.5 months ago, and I was already down 40 lbs from my highest weight by that point. I’m kicking myself now for not having kept the jeans I wore at my highest, but hindsight is 20/20!
It was a tight fit but I was able to get into one of the legs of the jeans, so of course I got hubby to take a photo.
On the right is a comparison between those jeans and the jeans that fit me now.
That’s some crazy shit, yo! It definitely helped me gain a bit of perspective!
