A tree is known by its fruit. - Proverb

What does family mean to me? EVERYTHING. It’s really that simple.. I grew up in a family where love and respect for your family comes above all.
From my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.. they all are an important part in my life. What I love most about my family is that even though we may not see each other for a long time ( years in some cases ) when we do see each other again it’s like we were never apart. Our family gatherings are SO much fun! The older members of the family laughing and telling stories about things they did together in their youth.. the younger members listening carefully and imagining what it will be like when WE are the elders. Will we gather like this, will we tell stories from when we were kids and the silly things we did?
So many times I think about myself, my sister and my cousins. Things have changed so much since our parents were kids.. most people our age get up and move off the island now. How will we keep the family together? Will the closeness end with us? I guess we’ll just have to make a little more effort to keep things the way they have always been. No friends, no man, nothing ever comes between me and my family. I’ll put it in “Geek Speak” just to be sure it’s clear.

The Geek I Love
The newest and most amazing addition to the family is my husband, Xander. In 1999 I packed my life into two suitcases and moved to the Netherlands to be with him. He is my life and the air I breathe…

My Parents
I am extremely close to my parents and I keep in contact with them daily, even though I’m an ocean away. They are my best friends and nobody compares to them in my eyes.
There is too much to say about them to put all into one page…
